Established through a joint partnership between Virginia Beach and the U.S. Field Hockey Association, the Training Center features two artificial turf fields, lighting, bleachers, parking and an equipment room, with proposed expansion plans adding additional seating, locker rooms and office space. Construction on the project began in late spring, 2001.

The US National Women's Team trains at the facility daily in preparation for international competitions including the 2002 World Cup and 2004 Olympic Games. The facilities will also serve other US Field Hockey programs including US National team selection camps, junior team training sessions and various national and international events.

Take I-64 to I-44 E., exit
Independence Rd (S.);

left on Princess Ann Rd, right on Dam Neck and
first left on N. Landstown.
