US Field Hockey Men's B-Camp Set for Aug. 2-5

Male athletes looking to earn spots  on the 2002 U.S. Field Hockey National Team will get their opportunity when U.S. Field Hockey hosts its annual men’s B-Camp, August 2-5 in Moorpark, Calif.

Open to all male athletes with U.S. citizenship, the camp represents the first step in the selection process to the 2002 U.S. National Team.

From B-Camp, qualified athletes may be chosen to attend a Squad Trial where they will train with current members of the National Team. At the Squad Trial, athletes may be selected to join the National Team in 2002.

The fee to attend B-Camp is $175 . Transportation to and from B Camp is the responsibility of the athlete. B Camp will start at approximately 1 pm on August 2nd and end at approximately noon on the 5th.

Registration materials are available here on the U.S. Field Hockey website. All participants must be current USFHA members. Membership forms are also available online or by contacting Cathy Hoff at the National Office at 719-578-4567, x 7339

In order to attend B Camp, participants must supply proof of US citizenship with a copy of a birth certificate or a copy of the picture page of a valid passport. Proof of citizenship must be submitted with the B Camp registration. Current U16 National Team members do not need to submit proof of citizenship.

Registration materials, proof of US citizenship, B Camp payment and, if necessary, membership form and fee should be returned to the U.S. Field Hockey National Office at One Olympic Plaza, Colorado Springs, CO 80909.by July 15, 2001. Checks should be made payable to "USFHA".
