The United States Field Hockey Association  invites all male athletes to the 2000 Men’s B Camp, August 2-6, 2000 at Moorpark College in Moorpark, Calif.. The open camp represents the first step in the selection process to the 2001 U.S. National Team, and will be held on a wet, articifial turf surface.

At B Camp, qualified athletes will be chosen to attend the 2000 Men’s A Camp in late December. From A Camp, the Men’s National Team and other age-group Teams will be chosen. Shiv Jagday, U.S. Men’s National Coach, will direct B Camp.

The fee to attend B Camp is $175. Although athletes are encouraged to stay at the designated hotel, it is not mandatory. However, please be aware that session times may change and there will be some evening sessions at the hotel for video, etc. Please have flexible transportation schedules. Please indicate on the registration form whether or not you will need housing and meals at the designated hotel.

Transportation to and from B Camp is the responsibility of the athlete.

B Camp will start at approximately 1 pm on August 2nd and end at approximately noon on the 6th. Therefore, if you plan on flying to Camp, airline reservations must be made accordingly. Please be aware that transportation to and from the airport is the responsibility of the athlete. If you will require housing on the night of the 1st or 6th, please indicate that on the registration form. This will be an extra expense and athletes will not be supervised by USFHA staff on the night of the 6th.

All participants must be current USFHA members. A membership form is enclosed and must be returned with payment if you are a non-member or expired member. For membership information, please contact Cathy Hoff at the National Office at 719-578-4567, x 2364.

In order to attend B Camp, participants must also prove their US citizenship with a copy of a birth certificate or a copy of the picture page of a valid passport to be submitted with the B Camp registration. If athletes are current U16 National Team members, there is no need to submit proof of citizenship.

Please complete the enclosed registration form and return it with proof of US citizenship, B Camp payment and, if necessary, membership form and fee by July 1, 2000.
