Stick Starz Information

for athletes ages 7-12
Registration fee $175 plus current U12 membership ($25)
Stick Starz consists of eight, 1 ˝ hour sessions with 45
minutes dedicated to skill development and 45 minutes of fun,
small games designed to enhance and reinforce the skill
development portion of the program. The program will run in
conjunction with Futures during January through May. Stick Starz
sessions will run immediately prior to or immediately following
a scheduled Futures session.
The USA Field Hockey National Coaching staff developed the Stick Starz program based on the skills necessary to develop good, sound field hockey fundamentals. In addition, Stick Starz athletes receive expert instruction from the same knowledgeable Olympic Development staff currently coaching in the Futures program. Athletes reaching the age of 12 or entering 7th grade may be recommended into USA Field Hockey’s Futures Program from Stick Starz based on their performance.
Need Equipment? Come with your big sister’s equipment or purchase a Stick Starz Player Pack from Harrow Sports. The pack includes all the mandatory equipment needed to get started: Field hockey stick, shin guard, mouth guard and Stick Starz T-shirt.
Stick Starz registration is $175.00. Participants must be USA Field Hockey members. Under-12 memberships are available for $25.00.
Registration is OPEN to all young boys and girls between the ages of 8 – 11. Participants must be members of USA Field Hockey to be eligible for Stick Starz.
