Futures Region 11 Regional Tournament
The 2008 Regional Tournament will be held at the Olympic Training Center, Chula Vista in May, 2008
2008 Region 11 Regional Tournament Player Information
Under 16: Saturday, May 17th 7:30am - 4:30pm
Under 19: Sunday, May 18th 7:30am - 4:30pm
** You MUST attend the appropriate day for your age group**
TO DETERMINE YOUR AGE GROUP:
Take your age on January 1, 2008.
If you are 13 or under on January 1, 2008, then you are in the U14 age group.
If you are 14 or 15 on January 1, 2008, then you are in the U16 age group.
If you are 16 or older on January 1, 2008, then you are in the U19 age group.
*Under 14 athletes will play with the Under 16 athletes in the tournament. There is NO separate U-14 tournament*
There is no additional fee for the tournament, however athletes are responsible for their own travel/lodging costs and arrangements.
Athletes will notify the Head Coach of their site if they will be attending the tournament by April 15,2008.
The Regional Tournament is an opportunity for athletes to compete for one day with other athletes in their region.
This tournament serves as as the selection process for athletes to represent Region 11 at the National Futures Championship in June in Virgina Beach, Virginia. We will be selecting athletes from the U14, U16 and U19 age-group.
All athletes from Region 11 are invitied to participate in the tournament. An athlete must have 60% attendance to attend and 80% attendance to be eligible for selection to the National Championship Tournament.
At the beginning of the tournament, each player will be assigned a number and a team to play on. The Team you will be playing on will be posted on or before May 14th on the regional web-site.
Each player MUST bring Dark Shirt/Dark Socks and Light Shirt/Light Socks. All field players must have turf shoes, mouth guard, shin guards and stick to play. Goalies are required to bring their own equipment but jersey color does not matter.
Selections will be posted by May26th on the Regional web page. If selected, you will receive information from the USFHA about the National Championship Tournament.
