Futures Region 10 Trial Information
*NEW for 2009 Futures*
Athletes who would like to be involved in the Futures 2009 Program must attend a tryout. Region 10 is no longer accepting coach nominations for the Futures Program.
The USA Field Hockey Futures Program is an Olympic Development Program offered to talented athletes nationwide. The mission of the Futures Program is to regionally develop the best field hockey athletes for the purpose of identifying talented future Olympic level athletes, and to strengthen the level of field hockey throughout the United States. Today, this elite program features more than 5,000 athletes participating in specialized monthly training sessions from January to May which culminate with a Regional Tournament within each of the 11 regions. Region 10 covers the Midwestern United States.
In the past, athletes were recommended into the Futures Program by a High School Coach. Futures remains an invitational and selective program. **NEW FOR 2009** Athletes who want to participate in the 2009 Futures Program MUST tryout at their site. Coach nominations will no longer be accepted. The tryout process is only for new athletes entering into the program. If an athlete participated last year and met their attendance requirement, they will be re-invited back for 2009.
REGISTRATION
Athletes are required to register online prior to their trial date. Please go to www.usafieldhockey.com, click on membership login, and then click the link for Futures Trials. Follow the prompts to complete the registration.

*Texas and Oklahoma Futures sites will host one tryout at the Southwest Field Hockey Festival at The Hockaday School in Dallas, TX. Athletes will tryout together, however will be competing for spots at their specific site (Dallas/Ft. Worth, Austin, Houston, and Tulsa).
