National Futures Championship
The National Futures Championship is scheduled for June 21-26 in Virginia Beach, Va.
Congratulations to the following athletes who have been selected to represent Region 8 in the National Futures Championship in Virginia Beach, VA.
Each athlete will receive information from the National Office next week. Athletes on the alternate list will be called as needed.

Regional Teams ~ How many athletes / teams per region?
The number of athletes selected from each region
to attend the National Futures Championship is based on the following criteria.
Approximately 10% of the Futures athletes are selected
to the National Futures Championship .
• Total number of athletes in the program and the percentage of those athletes from each region.
Each region receives the same percentage of spots onto the National Futures Championship . For example Region 5 currently has 420 under 19 athletes which is 18.7% of all the athletes in the program. Region 5 sends 42 athletes to the National Futures Championship . Region 1 has 134 under 19 athletes which makes up 5.9% of all the athletes in the program. Region 1 sends 14 athletes to the National Futures Championship . Each year the percentages are re-figured assuring fairness.
• Based on the percentages, regions may split with
a team in another region but NO team (region)
will be divided by more than one half per region.
