Futures Region 2 Regional Tournament

The Futures Program ends with a Regional Tournament. The Regional Tournament will be held at UMASS-Lowell on May 17th All athletes who are active members of the 2008 Program are invited. You are pre-registered, you do not need to send me an email telling me you are attending. We do not assign the teams until late in the week as we know that last minute things do come up, like post-season contests.
This tournament is the culminating event of the Futures Program. It is your opportunity to show the staff, your parents, your coaches and your peers how much you have improved over the past five months. From this Tournament there will be players selected to represent our region at the National Futures Tournament, which will be in Virginia. Please see the web site for more information.
There will be many selectors evaluating the performance of all the athletes throughout the Tournament. There will be no announcement of the regional squad following the tournament. A list of athletes who do get selected will be posted on the web site ONLY by the following week pending approval from the National Office.
Please bring the following items with you to the Regional Tournament:
• Turf shoes or sneakers ~ no cleats or running shoes please.
• 2 shirts (1 white, 1 blue/black), shorts (blue or black only)
• 2 shin guards (1 white, 1 black/blue) ~ if unavailable please bring socks to cover the wrong color.
Do not wear any apparel that has names, excessive decorations, school or college insignia, or logos. This includes hair ties! We have the right to refuse participation if the apparel is not appropriate.
Be prepared for the weather ~ water, food, sun block, hats, umbrella, extra socks, etc. I believe there might be a concession stand!
Arrive promptly for registration.
Registration times : 8 AM
Keep facility clean!
Have fun and show off the skills that you’ve developed!!!
