Position Opening

Position Title: Director of Sport Development
Division/Department: Program
Appointment: Full Time

Position Responsibilities: The Director of Sport Development is responsible for the growth of field hockey at all levels in the United States. As such the Director oversees the Master Plan for Sport Development including the selection and supervision of 11 Regional Development Coordinators; develops and disseminates field hockey specific educational and training materials; coordinates and directs the USFHA equipment grant program, serves as staff liason to the volunteer Development Committee and the Sectional Chair/League Presidents Group; interfaces for purpose of development, with USFHA coaching and umpiring programs; maintains liason relationship with community based sports organizations and educational based  multi-sport organizations.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree, minimum three years experience in a sport related field, field hockey experience highly preferred, strong interpersonal and leadership skills essential.
