USA Field Hockey Announces New Coach Education Workshop: Game On: Tactical Insights & Game Management Mastery

USA Field Hockey’s High Performance and Coach Education Team are excited to announce a special series of education opportunities for coaches. The series kicks off Saturday, April 27 with Game On: Tactical Insights & Game Management Mastery,  a one-day workshop. The series continues with the High Performance Summit on May 6-7, a two-day coach education event. Coaches can advance their skills by attending one or both of these events, held in Charlotte, N.C., alongside the High Performance staff and U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT).

The coaching workshop, Game On: Tactical Insights & Game Management Mastery, will feature insights from USA Field Hockey High Performance Director Craig Parnham and U-21 USWNT Head Coach Allan Law. This 6-hour workshop is scheduled to take place from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 27, with a highlight being the USWNT vs. Argentina scrimmage at 1:00 p.m., providing a live case study for advanced game management and tactical analysis for every level coach wanting to improve.

The workshop is designed to be accessible for coaches of all levels, from those guiding grassroots teams to coaches of high-level teams looking to refine their strategic approach. Participants will leave with a comprehensive set of practical skills and insights into the X's and O's of field hockey and feel ready to inspire and lead their teams to new heights.

“We look forward to welcoming coaches to this unique coach development opportunity," said Craig Parnham, USA Field Hockey High Performance Director. "Sharing these moments with fellow coaches in a live context provides a chance for others to see how analysis and review methods can be used in a competitive environment. Many of our (coach) members have teams that face high pressure games. Local or international, making sound decisions under pressure is a key skill that all coaches need. We will look at why and how we choose the tactics and strategies we do and review them in a final debrief session. These clinics are focused on coach understanding and rich interactive discussions for every level of coach."

Don't miss this rare chance to transform your coaching approach with elite-level strategies and insights. Join us for Game On: Tactical Insights & Game Management Mastery and take the first step toward achieving coaching excellence.
