Cran Barry
Named Official Presenting Sponsor of USA Field Hockey’s National Hockey
Festival
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.
– USA Field Hockey has signed apparel and equipment supplier
Cran Barry, Inc. as the Official Presenting Sponsor of USA Field Hockey’s
National Hockey Festival.
Under the
multi-year agreement, Cran Barry will also serve as the Official Goalkeeper
Equipment Supplier to the USA Field Hockey Equipment grant program.
“We are proud
of our association with USA Field Hockey and particularly happy to expand
our role and support, both through sponsorship of the National Hockey
Festival, as well as the Equipment Grant Program” said Cran Barry President
John Vinton. “The Festival is a unique and popular event and one that we
certainly look forward to attending each year.”
The world’s
largest field hockey event, the National Hockey Festival annually draws
3,900 participants and more than 220 teams for four days of competition over
the Thanksgiving weekend. The 2007 Festival is scheduled for Nov. 22-25 in
Indio, Calif.

Hockey Festival is truly a destination event for hockey players from across
the country, and Cran Barry has long been part of the Festival tradition.”
said USA Field Hockey Executive Director Sheila Walker. “We are extremely
pleased to welcome Cran Barry to the official sponsor role and we are
grateful for their continuing support of the athletes who make the Festival
such a wonderful event.”
In addition,
Cran Barry will supply goalkeeper equipment to USA Field Hockey’s Equipment
Grant Program. The program annually provides assistance to new and
developing field hockey grass roots programs through the distribution of
field hockey sticks, balls, protective gear and other necessary equipment.
Located just
north of Boston, Cran Barry was established in 1947 and has been supplying
the U.S. field hockey market for 60 years. Cran Barry currently markets
equipment, accessories and apparel under the Cran Barry name, as well as
offering an extensive line of products from Grays and OBO, two of the top
brand names in field hockey, world wide.
USA Field
Hockey is the National Governing Body for the sport of field hockey in the
United States as recognized by the United States Olympic Committee, the
International Hockey Federation (FIH) and the International Olympic
Committee (IOC). As such, USA Field Hockey is responsible for the training
and selection of athletes for international competition as well as the
promotion and development of the game of field hockey in the United States.
