USA Field Hockey Women Fall to Germany at Argentina Four Nation
Tournament
Rosario,
Argentina – The USA Field Hockey women will play in the
3rd/4th place game of the Argentina Four Nation Tournament following a 2-1
loss to Germany.
With the loss, the USA (1-2) will play Ireland in the 3rd/4th place game on
Sunday. Germany (2-1) will play host Argentina for the tournament title.
The 2004 Olympic gold medalist, Germany took advantage of goals by Natascha
Keller and Maike Stockel to earn a spot in the final. The USA's Tiffany Snow
(Escondido, Calif.) scored her second goal of the tournament but it was not
enough to lift the USA to championship game.
The USA defeated Ireland 2-1 earlier in the tournament.
The tournament serves as a final tune-up for the USA before the team heads
to Rome for the World Cup Qualifying Tournament, April 25-May 6.
