Hockey's Tiffany Snow Named San Diego Hall of Champions Star of the Month

Colorado Springs, Colo. - USA Field Hockey National Team member
Tiffany Snow has been named a Breitbard Star of the Month by the San Diego
Hall of Champions for her performance in October's Samsung World Cup.
Named for San Diego sportsman Bob Breitbard,
the Stars of the Month awards are presented by the San Diego Hall of
Champions for outstanding performances by professional, amateur and high
school athletes from the San Diego area or members of San Diego-based teams.
A native of Escondido, Calif. and a 1999
graduate of San Pasqual High School, snow helped lead the USA women to their
second-best World Cup finish ever with a 6th place showing in Madrid. she
scored the game's only goal in a 1-0 victory over defending Olympic gold
medalist Germany in crossover play to ensure the USA a top six finish.
Selected as one of six recipient in the
amateur athlete category, Snow joins an exclusive list of October award
winners that includes golf medalist Aaron Goldberg (San Diego State) and
soccer national Player of the Week Nick Cardones (San Diego State) as well
as professional selections Reggie Bush (Football, New Orleans
Saints/Helix High School) and Ladainian Tomlinson (Football, San Diego
Chargers).
The Hall of Champions has presented the Stars
of the Month awards since 1946.
