USA Field Hockey News: USA Field Hockey Junior Men win British Columbia Series

Colorado Springs, Colo. - USA Field Hockey's Junior Men's Team earned a 3-2 victory over the British Columbian Juniors in the third game of the three-game series to capture the overall-series victory, 2 games to 1 in Vancouver.

The matches represented the first international action for the 2006-07 USA Junior Squad following its selection at the USA Field Hockey Men's National Championships in June.

After losing the first match of the series 6-3, the USA battled back to post a 2-1 victory in game two before clinching the series with Sunday's 3-2 win. Nick Szoke (Chesapeake, Va.) scored two goals and Manny Martinez (Lakeside, Calif.) added a score for the USA in the final-day win.

Will Holt (Camarillo, Calif.) led the USA in scoring with three goals while Jon Ginolfi (Moorpark, Calif.) was named the Player of the Series.
