USA Field Hockey Names Tracy Wisdom

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA
Field Hockey has named Tracy Wisdom as Director of Olympic and Sport
Development Programs.
In her new position, Wisdom, 25, will direct all aspects of the Futures
Program which serves as the initial step in USA Field Hockey’s Olympic
development pipeline. The Futures Program annually admits 5,000 athletes
between the ages of 12 – 19 who have been identified as potential or
“future” Olympic-level athletes. Additionally, she will oversee activities
in USA Field Hockey’s sport development program including grassroots
development and club-level competition.
“I am impressed with the
leadership and direction of USA Field Hockey, and I’m very excited to be
part of the team,” Wisdom said.
Prior to joining the USA
Field Hockey staff, Wisdom worked with the Center for Human Enrichment at
the Univ. of Northern Colorado where she advised and counseled first
generation undergraduate students while conducting research,
planning programs and coordinating special events.
“We couldn’t be more
excited to have Tracy join us at USA Field Hockey,” said Assistant Executive
Director for Olympic and Sport Development Laura Darling. “She brings a
tremendous amount of enthusiasm and excitement to our programs as well as
the skill sets necessary to further advance the development of athletes in
programs at every level.”
A 2001 graduate of the Univ. of Houston, Wisdom earned her Master of
Education in sport administration form Houston in 2002. She is currently
working on her doctorate at the Univ. of Northern Colorado.
