USA Field Hockey Men's Under-18 Athletes
to Compete in Canada Series
Colorado Springs, Colo. - USA Field Hockey's junior men's program
will introduce some of its most promising young athletes to international
competition when a team of under-18 players travels to Vancouver for a
three-game series with British Columbia.
The young USA team will meet the British Columbia U18 team in matches on
Nov. 11, 12 and 13 in Vancouver.
"This series is the first step in grooming a team for the next cycle
of international play at the junior level," said U.S. men's high performance
coach Nick Conway. "We will be looking for players to be the foundation of
our team for the 2009 Junior Pan American Championships and the 2009 Junior
World Cup."
