Young USA Field Hockey  leaders awarded FIH Youth Leadership Certificates

Colorado Springs, Colo. - Nine young USA Field Hockey leaders are among the world-wide winners of the International Hockey Federation's Youth Leadership Certificates for their contributions to the sport of field hockey.

With the goal of encouraging young leaders to continue work in umpiring, coaching and event organization, the Youth Leader Certificate program drew nominations from communities across the United States and were awarded internationally to young leaders in the sport from 12 nations.

The USA winners included the following young leaders:

Kelsey Brewer (15, Pine Grove, Calif.): in recognition of successfully contributing to hockey in the USA by assisting with coaching and organizing practice sessions.


Kylie Burghardt (19, Lisle, N.Y.): in recognition of successfully contributing to hockey in the USA in the areas of coaching and umpiring.

Amanda Griffis (15, Moorestown, N.J.: in recognition of successfully contributing to hockey in the USA in the areas of coaching and umpiring.

Harrison Gray (16, Sutter Creek, Calif.): in recognition of successfully contributing to hockey in the USA in the areas event organization, coaching and the organization of practice sessions.

Samantha Lloyd (20, Shavertown, Pa.): in recognition of successfully contributing to hockey in the USA in the area of coaching.

Danielle Renken (18, Rehoboth Beach, Del.): in recognition of successfully contributing to hockey in the USA in the area of coaching.

Jacqueline Supko (17, Moorestown, N.J.): in recognition of successfully contributing to hockey in the USA in the areas of coaching and umpiring.

Jennifer Thorn (18, Chesapeake Beach, Md.): in recognition of successfully contributing to hockey in the USA in the area of coaching.

Elizabeth Webber (New Jersey): in recognition of successfully contributing to hockey in the USA in the areas of coaching and umpiring.
