YOLO Sportswear Named Official Apparel Sponsor of USA Field Hockey’s National Hockey Tournament

Colorado Springs, Colo. (June 8, 2004) – USA Field Hockey has designated YOLO Sportswear as the Official Apparel Sponsor of the 2004 National Field Hockey Festival.

The National Hockey Tournament’s apparel sponsor for the past two years, YOLO Sportswear returns in 2004 as an official sponsor, supplier of tournament staff apparel and exclusive vendor of official Festival apparel and merchandise

“Through our sponsorships of the National Hockey Festival and National Indoor Tournament, we are able to provide the financial backing to USA Field Hockey that we set out to when we established our business eight years ago,” said YOLO Sportswear’s Karen Forster. “It is our hope and our intention to continue our partnership with USA Field Hockey for many years to come.”

Held each year over the Thanksgiving weekend, the National Hockey Festival is one of the premier events on the field hockey calendar and stands as the world’s largest amateur field hockey event. The tournament annually draws more than 220 teams featuring 3,600 athletes.

“When we began our business in 1996, we immediately committed ourselves to the support of USA Field Hockey,” added YOLO Sportswear’s Chris Fechter. “From our first day, we have been an Official Licensee proudly selling USA apparel and promoting the sport.”

USA Field Hockey is the National Governing Body for the sport of field hockey in the United States as recognized by the United States Olympic Committee, the International Hockey Federation (FIH) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC). As such, USA Field Hockey is responsible for the training and selection of athletes for international competition as well as the promotion and development of the game of field hockey in the United States.
