Pat Harris and the USA men will take on #10 Malaysia in Preparation for May's Pan American Cup.

USA Field Hockey Selects Men’s Malaysia Roster

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Head coach Shiv Jagday and USA Field Hockey have selected a 15-member roster to represent the USA during the team’s Malaysia tour, April 2-14 in Kuala Lumpur.

        The tour team features 14 athletes from the USA’s 2003 Pan American Games team including Jang Badesha (Santa Clara, Calif.), Rinky Bhamber (Simi Valley, Calif.), Pat Cota (Camarillo, Calif.), Pat Harris (Moorpark, Calif.), Daraspreet Kainth (Fullerton, Calif.), Koijan Kainth (Fullerton, Calif.), Gurpal Kundi (Glendora, Calif.), Jarred Martin (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), Shawn Nakamura (Camarillo, Calif.), Arjan Reyatt (Brea, Calif.), Jeb Saez (Thousand Oaks, Calif.), Daljeet Sagoo (Fullerton, Calif.), Ian Scally (Thousand Oaks, Calif.) and Jason Wellings (Moorpark, Calif.). Seventeen-year old Sean Harris (Moorpark, Calif.) will also join the squad for his second international tour with the USA senior team.

        Jagday and assistant coach Shellie Onstead (Univ. of California, Berkeley) are expected to name a 16th member to the traveling squad at a later date.

        The U.S. men will use the tour to prepare for the Pan American Cup, May 12-23 in London Ontario. The Pan American Cup serves as the continental qualifier for the 2006 World Cup with the winner earning the automatic spot in the sport's premier event.

        In Kuala Lumpur, the USA will face the world's 10th ranked Malaysia team in games April 7, 8 and 11 while taking on the Malaysia Junior Team in matches April 5 and 10. A final contest against either the senior or junior team is scheduled for April 13.
