USA Field Hockey Signs Founders Inn
as Official Futures Tournament Hotel, Sponsor

Hospitality property Founders Inn has signed as an official event sponsor and official
hotel for USA Field Hockeys National Futures Tournament in Virginia Beach, Va.
We are proud to host USA Field Hockey here in

supports the growth and future of the sport for our nations athletes, and were
pleased to be associated with such a positive program.
Under the two-year
agreement, The Founders Inn will provide USA Field Hockey with special room rates for
athletes and families attending the National Futures Tournament. The sponsorship also
provides additional accommodations and discounted services for the administration of the
tournament, receptions, dinners and other tournament-related events.
The Founders Inn
has been a major supporter of USA Field Hockey ever since the National Training Center was
established in Virginia Beach, said USA Field Hockey Executive Director Sheila
Walker. It has truly become the Virginia Beach home for USA Field Hockey Futures
athletes, family and fans, and we are extremely pleased to have them as a sponsor and
official hotel of the National Futures Tournament.
Held each year over
the Fourth of July weekend, the National Futures Tournament showcases the top 600 athletes
selected from USA Field Hockeys 4200-athlete National Futures Program. The program,
designed to identify promising field hockey athletes as potential Olympians, provides
additional monthly training sessions for participants from January through May before
culminating in the National Tournament. The 2004 event is scheduled for June 30-July 4.
