Elite Athletes to Compete in Australia Members of U.S. Field Hockeys U19 and U16 Futures Elite will receive their introduction to international competition when they compete in Australia, July 9-20.
Coach Amy Robertson will lead the U16 team on a tour against club teams on
Athletes are selected to the Futures Elite program based on performances during
U.S. Field Hockeys Futures program and National Futures Tournament. Members of the U16 team include Candice Arner (Red Hill, Pa.), Nicole Gnozzio (Fanders, N.J.), Kelly Knoche (San Diego, Calif.), Kathleen Naughton (Goffstown, N.H.), Annika Alexander Ozinskas (Dayton, Md.), Brooke Patterson (Eammaus, Pa.), Sarah Reinprecht (North Wales, Pa.), Regina Shannon (West Chester, Pa.), Christine Suggs (Durham, N.C.), Michelle Tavener (Winchester, Mass.) and Alexa Whillte (Prospect, Ky.). Combining with with four athletes from the United Kingdom, the U19 team is represented by Ashley Benitez (Sykesville, Md.), Julia Berkowitz (Amherst, Mass.), Rachel Eng (Moorestown, N.J.), Kaitlin Johnson (East Setauket, N.Y.), Kara McEneaney (Miller Place, N.Y.), Shannon Mobley (Virginia Beach, Va.), Amanda Oyler (Fleetwood, Pa.), Devon Shapiro (Dedham, Mass.), Megan Strout (St. Louis, Mo.) and Kelly Terwilliger (East Stroudsburg, Pa.). |
