US Field Hockey Under-23 Women Draw With WITS
on South Africa Tour
JOHANNESBURG - The US Women’s Field Hockey Under-23
team played to a 3-3 draw with club team WITS in the third game of the team's 6-game South Africa tour.
The U.S. received goals from Dina Rizzo (Walpole,
Mass), April Fronzoni (Larksville, Pa.) and Marcie Boyer (Dillsburg, Pa.) in earning a draw with the co-ed WITS squad.
WITS currently ranks
second in its Johannesburg league.
The draw evens the
US tour record to 1-1-1 after winning its opener again Jeppe, 4-0, and losing to the
top-ranked university team, RAU, 3-1.
The team continues
its tour against local club teams on Monday against Witsies before taking on Eds on
Tuesday. The team concludes it tour Wednesday against a local team of Under-21 players.
