Futures Elite Athletes to Compete in Australia                                    

Members of U.S. Field Hockey’s U18 and U19 Futures Elite will get a taste of international competition when they compete in Australia,  July 11-21. 

       Coaches Kristen Holmes and Amy Robertson will lead the U18 team on a tour against U18 club teams on Australia’s Gold Coast, while Steve Simpson and Dot Theoboldt will coach the U19 team at the Australia Youth Hockey Festival at the Sydney Olympic Stadium.

       Athletes are selected to the Futures Elite program based on performances during U.S. Field Hockey’s Futures program and National Futures Tournament.

       Members of the U18 team include Kay Brown (Ann Arbor, Mich.), Julia Chase (Cumberland, Maine), Lauren Crandall (Doyelstown, Pa.), Alyssa Emrick (Bangor, Pa.), Mary Fox. (St. Louis, Mo.), Gwnedolyn Hunter (Seaville, N.J.), Ashley Lennington (Carlisle, Pa.), Michelle Kasold (Chapel Hill, N.C.),  Nicole Ng (Sratoga, Calif.), Jessica Saling (Louisville, Ky.), Kadi Sickel (Plaistow, N.H.) Mackenzie Stuart (Washington Depot, Conn.) and Allison Tanner (New Providence, Pa.).

       The U19 team is represented by Cristin Cavanaugh (Mountaintop, Pa.), Alyssa Curmaci (Factoryville, Pa.), Amanda Chase (Cumberland, Maine), Jessica Dahle (Farmington, Conn.), Meghan Daly (Auburn, Mass.), Leslie DeSimone (Flanders, N.J.), Lauren Ehrlichman (Wellesley, Mass.), Amanda Florio (Flemington, N.J.), Megan Foster (Berlin, N.J.), Mary Catherine Gordon (Oreland, Pa.), Julie Lane (Weston, Mass.), Jessica Malone (Tabernacle, N.J.), Eleanor Martin (Anchorage, Ky.), Michaela O’Malley (Stow, Mass.), Emily Palilonis (Hightown, N.J.) and Gina Sanders (Morgan Hill, Calif.).
