Colorado Springs, Colo. -- The U.S. Women's Under-18 field hockey team will look to continue a tradition of success at the California Cup, when the 16-member squad returns to the international tournament, May 25-28 , in Moorpark, Calif.
Beginning May 21, the team will practice at Moorpark in preparation for the tournament.

The U.S. roster includes high school All-Americans Colleen Barbieri (Centereach, N.Y.), Emily Boyer (Oak Park, Ill.), Katie Grant (Lehighton, Pa.), Karin Garp (Spencer, N.Y.), Alexis Martirosian (Richmond, Va.) and Natalie Martirosian (Richmond, Va.), Brooke Miller (Hummelstown, Pa.), Katie Moyneur (Escondido, Calif.), Lauren Powley (Mountaintop, Pa.), Gracie Sorbello (Davis, Calif.) and goalkeeper Katy Tran (Grantville, Pa.). The team also includes 2000 Cal Cup veteran Amy Stopford (Hillsborough, N.C.) in addition to Adrienne Hortillosa (Chula Vista, Calif.) and goalkeeper Christy Morgan (Centreville, Va.).
The U.S. team went 4-0-1 at the 2000 tournament  before losing to Slime in the championship game, 2-0.
Celebrating its 30th year in 2001, the California Cup features 110 teams competing in 10 divisions.
Following the Cal Cup, the team will attempt to defend its championship title at the Montreal Cup, June 27-July 1 in Canada.
