| US Field Hockey U16 Men to Host Canada
Colorado Springs - The U.S. men's under-16 field hockey team will
conclude its 2001 schedule this weekend with a three-game series against Canada's
junior team in Moorpark, Calif. <2"> In the team's second competition of
the year, the young U.S. squad will meet its northern neighbors in matches at 4:30 p.m. on
Friday, Sept. 10 and Saturday, Sept 11 and at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 12, All matches
are scheduled for the turf at Moorpark College. <1"> The team placed third
at the annual Easter Tournament in Valkenswaard, The Netherlands last April. <2"> Selected members of the U16 team will
continue their seasons August 14-20 with a tour of Barbados with the Under-18 members of
the men's national team <2"> Under the direction of coach Shellie
Onstead and U.S. men's national coach Shiv Jagday, the U.S. U16 team includes Reid Fritz
(San Diego, Calif.), Jonathon Ginolfi (Moorpark, Calif.), Jaspal Grewall (Laguan Niguel,
Calif.), Michael Halsell (Camarillo, Calif.), Patrick Harris (Moorpark, Calif.), Sean
Harris (Moorpark, Calif.), Richard Jordan (Camarillo, Calif.), Danny Jordan (Camarillo,
Calif.), Gurpal Kundi (Glendora, Claif.), Robert Lindsay (Ventura, Calif.), Malachi Mahan
(Camarillo, Calif.), Jason Mallory (Camarillo, Calif.), Chris Niles (Camarillo, Calif.),
Chirag Padhiar (Huntington Beach, Calif.), Eric Schanafelt (Georgetown, Calif.) and Andrew
Zayac (Columbia, Md.).
