U21 Field Hockey Men to Compete in
Canada National Championships U.S. Field Hockey's
Under-21 men's team and head coach Shiv Jagday will continue their preparations for October's Junior Pan American
Championships with a trip to Field Hockey Canada’s Senior National Championships,
Aug. 10-13 in Vancouver, British Columbia. The annual tournament features
Canada’s top club teams competing for the national title. Competing in Pool A, the
U.S. team will face the Vancouver Hawks (coached by Jagday’s son, Ronnie), Vancouver
Jokers, Toronto Lions and Simba Calgary. Pool B features Brampton, Calgary Hawks, India
Club Vancouver, Manitoba and Victoria Selects. Members of the U.S. team include
Leo Amar, Rinku Bhamber, Kyle Bratner, Pat Cota, Logan Hargett, Pat Harris, Daraspreet
Kainth, Koijan Kainth, Jarred Martin, Bryan Rauschenberger, Daljett Sagoo, Mike
Schanafelt, Chris Terrebonne and Hans Wittenberg.
The U.S. Under-21 Team will compete in the men’s Junior Pan American Championships, Oct. 6-22 in Santiago, Chile. The winner of the tournament earns an automatic bid to the 2001 Junior World Cup in Hobart, Australia.
