South High Performance Center Selections
TRYOUTS FOR SOUTHERN REGION REPRESENTATIVE TEAM 2008
DATE: Saturday, April 5th, 2008
TIME: 9-11.am
LOCATION: University of North Carolina, Francis Henry Stadium
-Athletes will be required to bring all of their own equipment.
-College aged athletes and beyond are eligible. ONLY pre-approved/selected high school athletes may attend the trial. If you are in high school and unsure of your status, please email Tracy Wisdom at: twisdom@usfieldhockey.com.
-WE WILL NOT ACCEPT WALK-ON ATHLETES THE DAY OF THE TRIAL, you must pre-register using the form linked here.
-Please make sure to check the training schedule linked at the left, athletes attending tryouts are committing to be a part of our group if selected.
-Trials will consist of a combination of skill drills, games, and possibly fitness. Be prepared!
-Players must attend this tryout to be eligible for selection.
-Only current National players are exempt from this stipulation.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Athletes must have a sincere desire to play on the National Team or at the very least be curious about the elite environment.
We are looking for athletes who demonstrate the potential to compete athletically at the international level and who are capable of keeping the flow in a high tempo, competitive drill setting.
You will be expected to be able to execute skills and make decisions under pressure.
Exceptional players may be selected to the national team through the National Championships Tournament.
