2008 Pennsylvania HPC Information

Welcome to Pennsylvania's High Performance Training Center. Our goal is to identify and train potential National Team athletes through extensive training/skill enhancement practices and games. Pennsylvania will be lead by head coach Char Morett.

SELECTIONS for Women's National Championships

TRYOUT & SELECTION:

On April 13th & 27th we will hold tryouts. Players must attend one of the 2 tryouts to be eligible for selection.

April 13th at Penn State University from 12 - 3:00pm
April 27th at Lafayette College from 12 - 3:00pm

Following both tryouts, the following individuals from the Penn State tryouts have been named to the 2008 Pennsylvania High Performance Squad:

All individuals named to the final squad must have a signed "Code of Conduct", a completed & signed "USFHA Waiver" form and a completed & signed "USFHA Medical Form"


ATTENDANCE:

In order to be eligible for selection for the travel team to the women's national championships in June at Virginia Beach, VA, athletes are not permitted to miss more than 2 training sessions.


COSTS:

* Tryout fees are $35.00. On-line Registration is mandated.

* Athletes that are chosen to be a part of the training squad will be required to pay $150.00. Those athletes will be allowed to practice for the entire program.

* Athletes that are chosen to attend the National Championship Tournament (June 14 - 21 at Virginia Beach, VA) will need to pay their own expenses. This will include travel, hotel room, and meals


REGISTRATION:

Athletes must register using the link listed on this site. If you choose to tryout for Pennsylvania, please be aware that all of the practice sessions will occur from late April through June.

Additional information will be provided regarding future practices and attendance policies.

NOTES:

* Only college-aged athletes or older are allowed to tryout at a High Performance Center. Previously identified Olympic Development Select Athletes also have the opportunity to tryout.

* Only Olympic Development Select (ODS) athletes who attended Junior National Camp are permitted to tryout for a HPC. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS MADE.

* All Futures Elite athletes are permitted to attend one HPC training session (the one closest to their home) as a guest. Please send me a quick e-mail to let me know which session you are attending (hlewis@bucknell.edu).
