USA Field Hockey's Futures Tournaments
USA Field Hockey several conducts tournaments exclusive to Futures athletes. The Futures program culminates in each region with a Regional Tournament. From the Regional tournaments, teams are selected to represent their region at the National Futures Championship. From the National Futures Championship, U-16 athletes are selected to compete in the AAU Junior Olympic Games and all athletes at the National Futures Championship are evaluated for additional opportunities. During all USA Field Hockey events, athletes are evaluated and observed. In some cases, selections opportunities are available for advancement to another Futures skill level. All Futures athletes are encouraged to participate in all programming, whether the program includes a formal selection opportunity or the program is offered for additional playing experience and evaluation opportunities.
